$25 dress on Drew Barrymore

Today on yahoo.com, I stumbled upon an article on Drew Barrymore stepping out at the Nylon magazine/Express party in LA in a $25 dress.
This dress was from a thrift store and the article made it seem like she justified wearing a cheap dress with $760 YSL pumps. So what's wrong with wearing a $25 dress? In my opinion, being fashionable isn't based upon how much you pay, but your personal style. You can buy a pair of leather pants from Prada and pair it with a lacy top from D&G and top it off with a fur coat from Chanel and spend a fortune. But if you can picture this all, you would see a disaster- a fashion victim; someone who only cares about labels. Or you can have a plain tailored dress from Ann Taylor for half the price and look fabulous and classy. It's all about proportions and styling. Celebrities or not, to be fashionable doesn't mean you have to spend a ton of money. A fashionable person can take something that isn't expensive and make it look priceless. Thus, Bravo Drew Barrymore you are a true fashionista because you are totally rocking this $25 dress regardless of your $760 YSL pumps.
